Congratulations to Trond Andersen and Hofie Hannesdottir on winning Harvard Merit/Term Time Research Awards. The Merit Awards are available to outstanding GSAS students in all fields.

Congratulations also to this year's Maurice and Gertrude Goldhaber Prize receipients are:

• Harry Levine and Ann Wang* (outstanding graduate students in experimental and theoretical physics)
• Stephen Carr and Georges Obied (outstanding graduate students in theoretical physics)

The Goldhaber Prize is awarded annually by the department to its most outstanding current PhD students based on their research accomplishments, as determined by a vote of the faculty. 

*In addition to the Goldhaber Prize, Ann Wang has also been awarded the Frederick Sheldon Traveling Fellowship.
